I haven't done it but it sure looks like a good deal to me. Unless you plan to be on the water a lot it makes better sense not to be a boat owner.
Turtle poachers in Rotonda will be SUNK.. Then they will be reported.

went ahead and joined. So far it is a great experience. Nice to dock the boat and walk away from it.

Thanks Art .... I went to the site and asked for them to send me info .... looking forward to seeing what the membership fees are compared to owning my own boat .

Gary,

Could you post a brief summary of the costs when you find out? i.e. joining fee, monthly fee, range of costs for the range of boats they have. I note the nearest club location is at the marina just north of Palm Island Marina.

Gary Poe has recently provided some cost details to me. Basically, it costs $5,500 to join, followed after 6 months of a monthly fee of $190 a month. Could be a viable method for some of getting out in a boat. Would recommend "Googleing" Freedom Boat Club before getting too interested.
