Minutes - March 16, 2007
Present: Nick Gizzi, Chair., Claudette Romano and George Krabbe
Management: Dianne Brophy, Secretary and Norene Kugler Assistant Manager
Other Members/Visitors Present: Margie & John Carroll and Victor Claussen
Chairman Gizzi, called the meeting to order at 10:15 am. Roll call was taken.
Minutes of March 13, 2007, were accepted as corrected.
Claudette Romano had re-written the RWA manager’s Job Description and Qualifications for the committee to review.
The committee reviewed the job description and it was decided to prioritize the Job Description by category and importance. The same was suggested and done for Job Qualifications.
There was discussion about whether the new hire should have a CAM license.
John Carroll suggested that the RWA have an employment agency do the interviewing, background check, and screening for the RWA manager. They have more knowledge as to what is needed for the job. The RWA can give a list of what the Association is looking for along with a pay scale for the job.
Nick Gizzi suggested that when advertizing for a manager or going through an employment agency it could start out with prefer a CAM license with five (5) years experience in a homeowners association and then go on to willing to get a CAM license within a specified amount of time.
There was discussion regarding evaluating the manager. Victor Claussen gave the committee evaluation sheets that he had used and suggested they be modified to fit the needs of the Association.
Claudette Romano stated that she would retype the Job Description and Qualifications and have them ready for the next Administrative/Personnel Committee meeting.
There being no further business the meeting was adjourned at 11:40 am
The next meeting date will be March 19, 2007 at 2:00 pm.
