Thursday, August 2, 2007
PRESENT: Claudette Romano (Chair), Sue Artz, Margie Carroll, Barbara and John Peszko, Linda Harrison, Bruce Miller and Art Richards.
ABSENT: Ken Guillerm
MANAGEMENT: Julie Pittman, CAM Manager
OTHER MEMBERS: George Krabbe, John Carroll, Wayne Mengel, Charlotte and Stan Plizza, Shelly Williamson, David Kelly, Sid Roberb.
Vendor Sign-in Sheet Attendees: Jerry Zezas, Blue Heron, Robert Davis, Amera Tech, Bill Newberry, Oak Farms Nursery, Darrell Stanley, Juniper Landscaping, Craig Larsen, Larsen and Associates, Sid Roberts, Sun State Landscape Management, Shelly Williamson, Vila and Son Landscape and Sherry Weeks, Creative Landscaping.
1. Call to Order: 2:00 p.m.

3. Pre-Bid Meeting
a. Vendors signed attendance sheet – 8 vendors signed in.
b. Hand out Specification Sheets – All vendors received Spec Sheet see attached.
c. Questions/Answers: Several questions were presented to the Committee on warranty, watering schedule and exact choice and placement of plants. Claudette Romano answered all questions and directed the Vendors to submit bid with a price with watering and a price without. The budgeted amount for this project is $20,000. Vendors were dismissed at 2:22 p.m.
4. Revised Specs for Oakland Hills Marina
a. Budget for Oakland Hills Marina: It was asked that an exact/estimated cost be obtained for the Marina. Prices are needed to budget properly.
b. Date Project to start 2008: Need to establish an exact date and budget for Budget/Finance Committee.
5. Update on "Family Fun Day": Claudette Romano displayed sign and banner purchased for Family Fun Day. Noted that there are no dates on sign or banner so they could both be used year after year. Thirty (30) / Forty (40) vendors are expected to turn out for event. There will be a K-9 dog presentation and an antique car show also.
6. Update on Clean Up Committee – Linda Harrison: Asked to continue the volunteer sign up sheet process. Stated that 30-35 bags of trash have been collected to date. The problem areas are those that people are still dumping garbage on the County's property and they have no way of cleaning up these areas. Linda asked something could be put on the website asking for volunteers to help with this Committee.

8. New Business: Approved prior minutes as presented. Approved unanimously.
9. Meetings
a. August 9, 2007 @ 2:00 p.m. – Bid Opening – Vendor must be present in case the Committee has questions.
b. Regular Meeting – September 6, 2007 @ 2 p.m.
Next Workshop/Bid Opening will be August 9, 2007, at 2:00 pm.
Meeting concluded at 3:00 pm.
