Beautification/Mowing Committee
Minutes
September 6, 2007

Present: Claudette Romano (Chair), Margie Carroll, Ken Guillerm, Barbara Peszko, John Peszko, Sue Artz and Art Richards

Absent: Bruce Miller and Linda Harrison

Management: Julie Pittman, Manager

The meeting was called to order at 2:01 p.m. and Roll Call was taken. The minutes from August 9, 2007 were accepted as presented with the correction of Sue Artz being added to Roll Call as attending.

Review of Oakland Renovations with Art Richards: Art Richards discussed the bidding process for the Oakland Renovations project. Art would like to see the job bid in three different sections: Prep, Prep and Finish, and Finish. The Committee discussed this concept. It was agreed that if the job was done in three separated stages, this concept for bidding would be considered.

Committee Opinion:  Committee discussed asking contractors to carry the Oakland Hills Renovation job for 2 years. This would be discussed with the contractors at the Pre Bid meeting. The other option for completing this project would be to wait two (2) years before beginning project.

Worksheets for the Oakland Hills Marina Renovations:  Are available at the Association office.

Miscellaneous:  Claudette Romano received a Thank You letter from Oak Farms Nursery for the opportunity to work for RWA.

Sun newspaper: Claudette Romano discussed how the Sun newspapers have been dumping the old newspapers in RWA garbage cans. Claudette indicated that she would present this problem to the BOD at their next meeting. Julie Pittman verified that she had called the newspaper company and asked them to discontinue doing this immediately.
